Sally Joubert is a contemporary Australian artist based in Melbourne. Joubert is known for her expressive oil paintings that utilize a palette knife to create thick, textural surfaces. Her work often re-imagines urban streetscapes, rural landscapes, and coastal scenes through a style that blends realism with impressionism.
Born in Melbourne, she completed a Diploma in Graphic Design at Swinburne in 1980. Her painting career began while traveling in Florence, Italy, in the mid-1980s.
- 2025: Finalist in the Paddington Art Prize (October) and participant in a group show at St Heliers Street Gallery, Abbotsford Convent (November).
- 2024: Solo exhibition "Ocean, Land and In Between" at the Cook Street Collective in Flinders.
- Awards & Recognition: She was selected for the Salon des Refusés at the S.H. Ervin Gallery in 2019 and was a finalist for the Lloyd Rees Art Prize in 2015.
- Residencies: She has completed artist residencies in Antibes, France (2016)
